WOM Projects

The WOM have several projects that you can become involved in:

Image 1Christmas in August

Here is a list of Christmas in August needs.  A container will be placed at each entrance of the church for your donations.  These items will help the several mission centers in Johnson City.

Deodorant, shampoo, toilet paper, toothpaste, toothbrushes, combs and brushes, paper cups, plates, plastic forks and spoons, markers, backpacks, 3-ring binders (2 & 3 in.), mechanical pencils and lead refills, construction paper, paper, folders, dividers.

Also snacks for children’s activities and adult Bible study.  This would help the Baptist Center.  Snacks like Kool-aid, crackers, cookies, fruit snacks, nacho chips/salsa or cheese dip, and potato chips.

Operation Christmas Child

 

Start collecting items for the shoebox ministry.
The boxes will be due in November. 

TOYS: small cars, balls, dolls, stuffed animals, kazoos, harmonicas, yo-yos, jump ropes, small Etch A Sketch®, toys that light up or make noise (with extra batteries), Slinky®, etc.
SCHOOL SUPPLIES: pens, pencils and sharpener, crayons or markers, stamps and ink pad sets, writing pads or paper, solar calculators, coloring and picture books, etc
HYGIENE ITEMS: toothbrush, toothpaste, mild bar soap (in a plastic bag), comb, washcloth, etc.
OTHER: Hard candy and lollipops (please double bag all candy), mints, gum, T-shirts, socks, ball caps; sunglasses, hair clips, toy jewelry, watches, flashlights (with extra batteries)
DO NOT INCLUDE: Used or damaged items; war-related items such as toy guns, knives or military figures; chocolate or food; out-of-date candy; liquids or lotions; medications or vitamins; breakable items.

Please pray about going and for those who are going.  Also, pray for the children who will be attending camp this summer at Camp Jubilee. 

Thanks for supporting our fundraiser luncheons.  Donors allow us to go and go God’s work.

Community Outreach
