Childcare Guidelines

The Mighty Oaks Children’s Ministry is pleased to introduce Kids’ Night Out (KNO), a ministry for Oak Grove Baptist Church members and regular attendees. We recognize that children thrive in strong, happy families in which the marriage relationship is regularly nurtured. We are happy to provide an affordable opportunity for parents to spend quality time together while children (babies through 6th grade) engage in fun, age appropriate activities.  Parents who participate in KNO will be expected to volunteer as a childcare provider in the program as well.

KNO will be the first Friday night of each month unless it falls on a holiday. Then it will be on the following Friday night. There will be no KNO in June or July.
Childcare is provided from 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM. Drop off time is no earlier than 5:30 PM. Pick up time is no later than 9:30 PM. A parent must come inside to check the child in and out. Emergency contact information must be provided.

The cost for KNO is $3 per child or a maximum of $10 per family. Deadline for registration and payment is the Sunday prior to KNO. Registration is not considered complete unless your children are signed up in advance and paid in full. Payment is not accepted the evening of KNO. Registration and payment must be placed in the designated envelope and dropped in the offering plate.

You must have a signed medical release form on file prior to leaving your child at KNO. Please download the form online or pick one up from the church office and return it prior to your child’s first KNO. Please keep the medical release form updated with any changes as they occur.

There is limited space available, so please register and pay early. There will be no telephone reservations or waiting lists available. There will be no refunds available except in extenuating circumstances.

Please feed your children dinner before you bring them to KNO. There will be snacks provided. If your child has a food allergy, please send a snack with them to KNO. Please make sure that the caregiver knows of your child’s food allergy and that you have sent a snack with them.

Please label all items sent with your child—diaper bags, bottles, sippy cups, coats, etc.

If your child is potty training, please bring a change of clothes including socks.

Please make sure your child is feeling well when you bring them to KNO. A child brought with the following symptoms will not be admitted:

Fever (100 degrees or above) in the last 24 hours
Illness, diet, or prescription related diarrhea within the last 24 hours
Vomiting within the last 24 hours
Undiagnosed rash
Runny nose with a yellow or green discharge
Discharge around the eye(s)

Our goal is to serve your family by giving your kids a night of fun and faith-building and giving you a night of rest. We like to think of Kids’ Night Out as Parents’ Night Off! We hope you have a special evening, resting in the assurance that your children are well cared for and loved!

Grateful to Serve,
Mighty Oaks Children’s Ministry
